He is one of the biggest shills for the globalist-industrial-complex that ever pretended to be a "liberal" economist concerned with worker welfare. His response to Covid was truly shocking to me, because I had bought into his act before the pandemic.
Just wanting to say I am absolutely loving that you are doing this project. I wish it would've been started earlier, but late is better than never. Also, for anyone interested, these kinds of projects should be done on pretty much every, bare minimum, US, if not West as a whole, "event," be it medical/biological, military, technology, science, or academic, primarily because we are now well aware of multitudes of instances in which we were and are being intentionally misled and deceived.
Additionally, the more Sasha Latypova and Katherine Watt's work reveals this as the planned event that it keeps showing to be, this project will assist as historical footprint and hopefully remind We the People of the World to find reason to be more courageous in holding the cadre of psychopaths and sociopaths to account; these very psychopaths and sociopaths who knowingly or ignorantly desire to further amass profit and control over humanity's murder, maiming, enslavement, trafficking, and/or financial ruin.
Instead of NYT, "STOCKS TAKE DIVE NOT SEEN SINCE 2011 OVER VIRUS CRISIS," my local paper said this: "Virus fears rock markets again." Instead of advising readers to "go Medieval" and comparisons of the covid virus with the so-called Spanish flu of 1918, my local paper ran this: "Region awaits guidance on virus." The font for the that news items was considerably smaller than the two articles on the same page that were in large bold print: "Snow, Cold Return" and the article above it which read "Church Gets Fencing Extension." I'm scratching my head at this point and starting to see why people in urban areas went nuts. I recall that after our schools closed in mid-March (ostensibly for 2 weeks) seeing people playing tennis. Best of all, there was the local Italian restaurant that refused to close and whose waitresses would not wear masks. Lines of customers snaked down the street as people showed their support for the place and local authorities did nothing to force the restaurant to close. I can't say these things were common here, but there was some resistance. Probably the single most panicked and fearful people were our public schools and one grocery store chain who went to insane levels in their response to covidmania. But none of that happened until mid-March.
This is such a valuable perspective: I think it shows how much they targeted the "liberal" professional managerial class in big urban centers, leaving small town and rural areas alone (relatively), possibly because they have so little regard for the "deplorables" there, which could be a great thing in the future when they try to assert even more control in even more brutal ways.
I took a look at our local paper for Feb. 29 which was a Saturday in 2020. I had to scroll all the way to page 6 to find even a mention of the virus or the pandemic. Here's the first paragraph in a short news item out of San Jose, CA: "Health officials have confirmed the second case of novel coronavirus in the United States believed to have been transmitted to a person who didn’t travel internationally or come in close contact with anyone who had it." What? How is it possible to catch a respiratory virus without being in contact with someone who had it? And there's no reference to her having touched something. And only the second case in the entire country? Very scary virus indeed! 🤣🤣🤣

Strange how Krugman reacted. Did he get upset that billionaires made 3 trillion while the working man has been in a rut ever since?

Yes - thanks! I actually included that in the Feb 27 post, since it appeared in the Feb 27 NEJM :)

It's safer to kill them with vaccine and face masks, I agree 👍
